Main responsibilities:

  • Installing and configuring new computer hardware, software, operating systems (Linux and Windows), networks, printers and scanners;
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks already in use;
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests;
  • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone);
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary;
  • Understanding of basic network protocols (HTTP, DNS, FTP, SSH, SMTP, IMAP, POP3…);
  • Knowledge of Linux systems and work in the terminal (monitoring of resources and processes, permissions, editors, basic settings, iptables …);

Skills and traits we are looking for: 

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Previous experience is not necessary, but will be considered a plus
  • Proactive approach and willingness to learn and improve
